Curtis J. Armand served as principal of Carroll High School after the death of Morris Henry Carroll in 1979. He served as principal after a successful career as a teacher and football coach.

As a coach he was part of the Championship Coach Staff at Carroll that won several state football championships.

After his retirement he was employed at Grambling State University. In 1994 he was elected to the Monroe City School Board. He is a member of the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church was married to Gloria Armand.
