First Black Nursing Instructor at the University of Louisiana in Monroe.

(Health Care, About 1977) Northeast Louisiana University slowly opened its doors to Blacks. Ms. Adams, a very eloquent speaker and excellent nurse, in or about 1977, was appointed to instruct nursing at the University.
As the first Black to teach nursing she worked under intense pressure and observation as those who doubted the ability of Blacks observed her actions closely. She performed honorably and opened the door for others to follow.
